Classical periodization

Train like it's a campaign, not a workout.

Most apps tell you what to lift today. Peakward shows you the whole arc — and explains why every session exists.

Predicted preparedness — 12-week strength campaign

The premise

You can't out-work a plan that has no shape.

Adding weight every week until you stall trains one quality and buries you in fatigue with no phase designed to remove it. Real progress comes from training in phases — each with one job — sequenced so the output of one becomes the input of the next. That's periodization, and it's how strength has been built for generations. Peakward puts it in your pocket and shows its work.

How it works

Plan. Learn. Log.

Plan

Answer six questions. Peakward generates a full periodized campaign — accumulation, intensification, realization, restoration — with set and rep targets drawn from Prilepin's table.

Learn

Every exercise carries its reasoning: the adaptation it drives, why it sits where it does, what breaks if you skip it. The education is in the session, not a tab you never open.

Log

Track each set against the arc. A 30-second daily readiness check adjusts the day's work up or down, and a preparedness curve shows where you're headed.

The method

Four ideas do most of the work.

Not trends. The load-management principles that produced champions long before fitness apps existed.

01

Periodization

Training in sequenced phases, each with one clear target — structure, then neural efficiency, then expression — so you build more than a linear approach can, then peak on a chosen date.

02

Prilepin's table & autoregulation

Decades of observation of elite lifters, distilled into how much to lift at a given intensity. Peakward uses it to size every session, then flexes it to your daily readiness.

03

The fitness–fatigue model

Every session builds slow, lasting fitness and large, fast-fading fatigue. Understand the two and you understand why you feel flat in the hard weeks and sharp in the light ones that follow.

04

Restoration as training

Sleep, nutrition, and easy movement are inputs you manage, not things that either happen or don't. They set the ceiling on how much training becomes adaptation.

Who it's for

One engine. Every goal.

The same principles serve different ends when you change the emphasis. Peakward builds the right shape for yours.

Questions

The short answers.

Is it actually free?

Yes. The whole app — campaign, sessions, progress, the exercise library, the articles — is free, with no account and no card. If paid coaching or extras arrive later, the core stays free.

Do I need a gym?

No. Pick "dumbbells / kettlebell" or "bodyweight only" at setup and every session is built from movements you can do with what you have.

Is this medical or physiotherapy advice?

No. Peakward is an educational training tool. It does not diagnose, treat, or prevent anything. Talk to a qualified healthcare provider before starting, and stop any exercise that causes pain.

What is the method based on?

Classical periodization: sequenced training phases, Prilepin's table for set-and-rep dosing, the fitness–fatigue model for peaking, and restoration as a managed input. The articles explain each one.

Where does my data live?

Only in this browser, on this device. Nothing is sent to a server. Export a JSON backup any time from Settings; clearing your browser data erases it.

Train with people, not alone.

A campaign is easier to hold when others are running one too. Join the community, compare arcs, ask the coaches.
